FabCab Offers Prefab Energy-efficient Homes

We have two distinct series of FabCab homes – TimberCab and ModCab.

Both series feature flexible floor plans and open, airy spaces with lots of natural light and universal design features. Both can be designed to support off-the-grid solutions such as solar panels and rainwater catch systems.

Rather than starting from scratch, we work from a TimberCab or ModCab pre-design and customize the layout to accommodate clients’ needs. We then take the process a step further by providing the energy-efficient major shell materials as this lets us have a hand in the quality of our homes. Our designs, materials, and building system come together to provide quality assurance, greater predictability and an efficient construction process that produces nearly zero on-site waste.

FabCab major shell materials packages include energy-efficient SIPs, and windows with fir frames and exterior aluminum cladding. The TimberCab shell package also includes second growth 100% Douglas fir timbers for posts, beams, and rafters. Shell materials are cut and milled per the design of each home, then flat-packed and shipped to the building site. We work with professional builders on the assembly of our materials.
