FabCab wins AIA / HUD Secretary’s Award

We are honored to announce FabCab is the recipient of the 2016 AIA / HUD Secretary’s Award, Category Four: Housing Accessibility | Alan J. Rothman Award, which recognizes exemplary projects that demonstrate excellence in improving housing accessibility for people with disabilities.

“Each of these developments are innovative housing opportunities offering seniors and families alike a place to thrive,” said HUD Secretary Julián Castro. “These winners prove that affordable and accessible housing can become part of the fabric of any neighborhood and reinforce the principles of inclusiveness and opportunity.”

FabCab wins international Universal Design award

FabCab Design - Port TownsendFabCab is pleased to announce it was recently selected for a Silver Award in the IAUD’s annual awards program. It was as the sole award winner in the housing & architecture category.

The jury commended the attention to detail, in particular with regard to sustainability and Universal Design features, and the enabling nature of the complete service offered by FabCab.

About the IAUD:
Established in 2003, The International Association for Universal Design focuses on spreading and realizing universal design in society. It’s based in Japan and has been hosting awards since 2010.
