As 2016 comes to a close, we are delighted to announce the completion of our latest TimberCab home near Cle Elum, Washington.
The approach to the home is from the south. From a design perspective, it was important to balance the scale of the garage on one end and the home on the opposite end. This was achieved with the help of a colonnade that provides a visual connection, as well as cover, on the pathway to the front entrance. The window wall faces north, offering a spectacular view of the serrated Cascade Mountains.
Sited 2,431 ft. above sea, with a snow load of 146 lbs. psf, this custom home is fortified with stout timbers to support its mountainous location. Solar panels, a propane tank, and a generator were installed on site to help offset utility dependencies.
